It's a good sign when I read a book in bed and then can't put it down to go to sleep. TELL ME WHAT YOU DID was like that for me. It was inconvenient the next morning when I had to find the place where I left off, but I was glad to do it.

This is the third book by Carter Wilson that I have read, and it passed the fell–asleep–reading-it test. This book is definitely his best.

The books' main character, Poe, makes a lot of money hosting a podcast that depends on criminals' desire to confess their crimes. But one day a criminal comes along who manages to reverse their roles. That is, he hosts two shows during which SHE confesses.

What happened to Poe's mother when Poe was 13 years old, and how did she react to it? That's part of her confession. And how does the criminal convince her to confess to the people who listen to her podcast?

In addition to this thrilling story, Wilson adds QR codes to various spots in the book. Wilson gets credit for this very clever idea because I haven't seen another author do it. He may have and probably did, I know.

My one criticism of TELL ME WHAT YOU DID may give you the impression that I am a prude. I'm not. But Poe's almost constant use of the F word gave me the impression that she has a very small vocabulary. The F word loses effect when it is used so often in so many ways. It just gets tiresome.

I was otherwise pleased with TELL ME WHAT YOU DID and do recommend it. I think you will be, too.
