I found it informative because I had no knowledge of what it took in those times to blow such things as
Christmas tree ornaments. Given that it was three
women who started the company and they had to with-stand criticism that men would not have received, I found it very interesting and informative.

This book sounded so interesting, so much so that it was my book club pick! Turned out the first 50% of the book was really engaging, and then it turned into a dud. Storylines were abandoned, characters didn't stay true to the setup and it really made a turn for the worse.
The book also had some issues with word use and phrases that would not have been used during the time period. I'm chalking that up to German to English translation issues.
