Overall, this was a good book. It was nice to imagine being there in Italy with the author. The book was a little descriptive at times and used Italian, which I didn't understand. Please, don't think that you are going to read anything that is like the movie! I loved the movie, but very little is from the book. Oh, to have the time and money to buy my own Tuscan Villa!
Living and working in San Francisco, the author purchases a Villa in Tuscany that needs major renovations that she will live in 3 months of the year. I know how much trouble people have trying to get work done in the same city when they can supervise. This lady was very brave and lucky. Beautiful writing.
