The Creation of Eve captures its readers from the get go. Cullen paints a vivid picture of life in the Spanish court of King Felipe - so vivid, I couldn't help myself from dreaming of the movie someday! The reader is taken on a journey of passion, romance, and betrayal as young queen Elizabeth settles into her new role of wife to the notoriously tyranic Felipe. You do not have to be a fan of historical fiction to enjoy this book - our club has varied interests, but all loved this book and it provided great discussion and inspiration.
