I loved it. It had great characters, romance, lots of action and adventure--never a dull moment! Also had heart. It is written in the form of a diary, which was fun, and written in a way you could see the romance when she couldn't, you could see her strengths as well, though she was so humble.

This was such an interesting book as many of our members had ancestors that experienced similar lives. It was a fictional novel that was woven around real life happenings. We are all looking forward to read the sequels.

I loved the way it was written not just diary format (which normally I don't like so much) but the way the entries changed over time just as a real life journal would. This story has action, adventure, romance, grief, history, humor, etc. I got sadder as I read because I knew I was getting closer to the end of the book.
