"The paradox of progress--the more things change, the more they stay the same." by dujyt (see profile) 09/28/10

All the members of our book group enjoyed the book, especially the skill the author has in getting inside Homer's character and writing his thoughts in such a revealing way. We all marveled at the rhythm of the language and the deep observations the reader is able to share as the story flows.
We discussed the psychological aspects of hoarding and our own experiences with it and found that we had more empathy for others as well as ourselves for "quirks" that seem weird or odd.
We all expressed a desire to read more of the author's novels and writings.
