I didn't not really like this book but it was great for discussion especially with a group of mothers.
Beautifully written, dramatically hopeful.
Jodi Picoult is a great writer and I usually really enjoy her books. However Harvesting the Heart, was not one of them. You end up waiting until the very last chapter for some happiness, and once it starts, 2 sentences later, the book ends! Disappointing book, but a super great discussion!
Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. However, Harvesting the Heart was in one word disappointing.
People can be so blind in managing their lives and relationships. Every character has managed to make make poor judgment calls, and they stubbornly refuse to trust each other with truth about the past and present issues. Not a book to lighten a depressing day.
As a group we felt the book had very little substance. We did not connect with any of the characters and a lot of the things happening in the book did not make sense to us.
not my favorite Picoult book...and i do like this author
Didn't feel the story was relatable, didn't care for the ending...not even sure what it was. Characters lacked depth. Definitely could not relate to nicholas..
