This book brought to life that very turbulent period in American history when citizens used their freedom of speech to protest the Viet Nam war. One of the students killed at Kent State was Allison Krause, who was from our small town, Churchill, PA. The community was in shock that that could happen on an American campus;. It was inspirational that one of the students, Steve Logan, the main character, was motivated to make a difference standing up to corruption right there in Providence. It's essential all Americans have the courage to speak truth to power.
