This was a fast paced, page turner. The character/chapters kept me reading, I would try and put it down and end up right back at it to find out what happened to these little girls.

Quick read. Written in short chapters dedicated to each character. Subject matter is a little disturbing if you have children.

Characters were well developed. It was difficult to read being a parent since it deals with every parent's worst nightmare. A child being taken.

"Easy to pick up to read anytime" by Seesankady1 (see profile) 06/06/10

Not only was this story intriging but with each short chapter written as dedicated to that particular person kept one moving in a different type of read for me. Easy to pick up, read, and set down if you have little tie to devote at one time.

"The Weight of Silence--too heavy for me!" by Drannk (see profile) 06/13/10

I see no upside to this book. The story of children who abused, and dysfunctional family configurations is hardly a "fun" read. I did NOT like this book.

"A light read" by mlakers (see profile) 12/08/10

This was a reasonably good, light read that moved quickly. I felt that the author lost some opportunities for deeper characterizations, but it was an easy read that kept me turning the pages to find out what happened.

While well written, story line was too 'linear' nothing insightful - just a story

Calli is such a remarkable heroine that I couldn't put the book down. I just had to find out what happened to her. I particularly loved the way she thought of her "voice."

This is a must book for discussion groups! The characters, situations, and emotions of the book are difficult and gray and GREAT for discussion! So many questions and no difinitive answers, and really opened the eyes of our new group to get to know eachother and grow closer.

I gave this book toy stars only because I am not a fan of jumping between narratives... It’s very distracting...
