I didn't realize that Alice In Wonderland was actually inspired by a real little girl. I was amazed at the things and experiences this little/young woman went through and then continued into her elderly years. I have much more of a repest for Alice then what I did. Even when I see the movies of Alice In Wonderland - I can't help but actually think about and feel for the real Alice.
While a fictionalized account, this book is loosely based on the life of the girl who inspired "Alice in Wonderland". A bit creepy with pedophile references, but interesting nonetheless.
The first third of the book had some pedophilia allusions that made for a very uncomfortable read. The second third had me cheering for Alice, though it was apparent something crucial has happened but they didn't say what. The final third was a bit sad, but we did find out what had happened. The notes from the author at the end helped explain more about the book. It was definitely an interesting read.
