I think it's important for us in America to know what is going on in the rest of the world.I never knew too much about female circumcision, this book certainly explained it all. The details in the book are quite graphic, but since it is still going on in parts of the world we need to be aware of it. This may be a difficult book to discuss.

BE PREPARED FOR SOME DISTURBING INFORMATION ON THE PRACTICE OF FEMALE CIRCUMCISION--INSIGHTFUL AS TO HOW BADLY WOMEN (CHILDREN) ARE TREATED IN SOME CULTURES-----I HAD NO IDEA HOW GRUESOME THIS WAS AND THAT IT IS STILL PRACTICED TODAY.

I had no idea this was happening to women and young girls. I pray that this mutalation ends!!
