This was a joy to read. Mark Twain writes this with tongue in cheek, making his point while I laughed at the antics of his characters. You feel yourself along for the ride as the float down the river.

I hadn't read this book since junior high many years ago. It was full of adventure in a time and period unique to this country. Some of the language made for slow reading but it is still one of Mark Twain's classics and should be read.
