Well crafted and extremely well written. Several cuts above most series mysteries.
A historical mystery with excellent character and plot development which allowed for a great discussion. Many of the members plan to read other books in the series.
I think we all enjoyed the book but found that we enjoyed the background of the main character more than the actual "mystery."
The character is very interesting and it has some historical interest too. As she develops from book to books we get to know Masie. Love this genre
This historical/mystery/literary work was enjoyed by all members of our book club that read it. Details were well researched which enlightened the readers in regards to the historical setting of the book. Character development was excellent and, while the story line did jump time periods, it was done very cleverly to reveal the story and the characters in the best way.
