Our club chose this as our summer read because I knew the author writes an easy to read, enjoyable book...nothing too heavy. This book was very enjoyable. You cannot help but think about your own wishes for your life and about how we have to know what our dreams are before we can attain them.
The book was a joy to read, very up lifting.
Interesting how the characters lives were changes by the "20 wishes" list. Most got what they wished for and more.
This is feel good story that was a lot of fun to read and led to a good discussion. However, several members were put off by the pedestrian writing and one dimensional characters.
Twenty wishes in my opinion was a beautifully written book. I loved the plot and the purpose of the story because it was so inspiring. It makes you want to make your wishes come true. I also loved the ending because even though everyone's twenty wishes ended up coming true it wasn't the way the character would ever expect it which makes you look at life in a different way. My favorite quote in the book was when Ellen Falk said "Your heart has to let your head know what it wants."(page 321) I would recommend this book to any young lady or woman.
