No joke -- it had me from page one. I read the first 30 pages standing in one spot at the front table at Barnes and Noble. I read it and recommended it to my book club. It is only the second time in three years that our entire group agreed that a book was excellent.

The story is sweet and funny, and definitely moves fast. Many of us in our club agreed that the characters and story stuck with us long after we had finished. I was still thinking about it days later and wanted more. Happy to have just found out the movie version is in development. This is a very highly recommended read!

This is one of those books that sucks you in from the beginning! I read this book over the course of a couple days...and much of that was late at night when I should have been sleeping, but had to find out what happened next! The book is written from the perspective of the main character and you may find yourself smiling and laughing at many of her remarks and thoughts. This book is certainly a page turner.

We had the opportunity to speak with the author, he was so nice and took time to answer all of our questions. This is a great book with an interesting plot and twists. It's definitely a page turner. The rights to the book were recently sold, hopefully it will make it on to the big screen!

This is a dramatic, informative, insightful book about a young girl who is a witness to a murder and gets swept up into a witness protection program. What happens to her as she continues to be moved about, with name, address, and total identity changes,is riveting. When she gets captured by the people she is trying to avoid, the book gets even more exciting.

Our club, which includes both women and men - LOVED this book.

To begin, the subject matter was fresh and interesting. While many people are familiar in broad terms with the idea of government protection of witnesses, few consider what it would mean to go into the Witness Protection Program. On that level alone, the book was fascinating.

On a deeper level, the author cleverly raises much more intriguing questions about the nature of identity and the development of personality. The main character is unique, real and endlessly interesting, the plot is suspenseful and the conclusion certainly led to a lot of discussion from our group members.

Strongly recommended!

This is a timely story of how our government attempts to help victims, but falls short of meeting their needs.
