This one is not to be missed. All that you thought you knew about terrible parenting and its effects on children will be challenged. And, the oft-told tales about strangers are both confirmed and blown away in this story.

All of our club members enjoyed this book, which also provided interesting material for discussion. It is the story of an 11 year old boy whose mom put him on a bus to travel cross country, alone. He is befriended by an ex-con who watches out for him and teaches him how to become a man. We learn that anything is possible and not to judge people by our biases.
