"Couldn't Make Myself Read It" by SPeters (see profile) 09/09/10

I couldn't get past the first couple of pages. The writing was painful to read, and I just couldn't make myself read any further. I really did try to find something about it to enjoy so I could keep reading it since it was a book club selection.

a great book to enjoy on a relaxing day, not too much action or drama but the story does draw you in once you get past a slow start. was surprised to find after the fact that this is an inspirational novel - often i find that takes away from the story (sorry inspirational novelists) but in this case the "religion" was done with a light hand and it fit the context of the story!

Easy read, easy to pick up or put down. Most members liked it but not as interesting as others we have read. The history of Apothecarys was the most discussed issue, and it's comparison with today's type of treatment for illness.
