Even though this book was fiction, the premise behind the story is something that could/might happen in the future. Technology is advancing at such rapid speed perhaps we might be able to "talk" to our dead loved ones via the computer in the near future. The message in this story got me to thinking how our memories of those who have died might or might not provide us with something more with which to "hang on." Would that allow us just a little more time to mourn? This was an interesting story, sad in parts, yet it gave me something to definitely think about.

GOODBYE FOR NOW is an interesting and insightful book. It starts out a tad slow, but soon the reader is drawn in to the idea of being reunited with deseased friends and loved ones via past computer immages and emails. The main characters really develop nicely. The author does a very good job at making the reader feel like they know the characters, and care about what happens to them. The book is quite sad in the third section, but overall it was a good book with a very interesting and provocative premise.

Unrealistic and not worth the time......

I liked the book and liked the way the author managed to bring it all together! However I do enjoy a book that makes me tear up and she did manage to do that for me.
