The Breath of God is a riveting suspense novel, reminiscent of The Da Vinci Code. Small's book explores the true historical discovery of a mystery unlocking the compatibility of the world's great religions, drawing a possible direct historical line between them.
I loved how Small weaves in his personal adventures traveling through India and Bhutan, as well as his studies of meditation along what is an insightful and inspiring spiritual journey.
While it is a fictional novel, our book club had a lengthy and deep discussion about how the book inspired each of us to connect to our personal faiths and explore the connectedness of our collective spirituality.
This book was exceptional. There was so much to it and our book club could have discussed it all night long. We all felt it was very inspiring in many ways. It truly was life changing.
Learning about the Mystery of Issa was fascinating! The author's web site and questions were very thought provoking and led our discussion in many different directions. It is a MUST read!
