As a whole, most of our book club members did not finish reading the book. I think out of the 13 that attended the meeting only 3 or 4 finished the book. I am about a quarter of the way through and think it's fine, but I'm happy to put it down for a while to read a book that holds my attention a little more. I do like the two main characters, but there is a lot of detail that I don't have background on that tends to bog me down.
I have mixed feelings about this book, as parts of it captured my attention and kept me reading, were very informative and interesting, but other parts were very slow - overly descriptive of the scenery, and a little too convenient events. The characters were not developed enough to where I really cared about them either. I loved learning about Welsh history, but don\\\\\\\'t recommend this book overall. It was disappointing.
