This was a really fun, quick book. It's a true story too!

I really liked this book. But of course, I love Manhattan! How exciting to work in Manhattan at Tiffany's no less! And to be in Times Square on V-J Day (although perhaps dangerous). I don't want to give it away, but was a bit disappointed about her college choice.

This book is cute. That's the best way I can describe it. It is a sweet, fun little memoir about a girl's summer clerking at an expensive jewelry store. Most of the book is dedicated to a young sorority girl's experience living in the big city, being impressed with movie stars and fashion. It takes place during WWII. The author does make some comments about the war and how it affected her and her family, but it doesn't have much depth.
