2nd in Malcolm Fox series about The Complaints division in Edinburgh police system. Fox and his Complaints crew are sent to Fife, Kicaldy, and this is a very interesting story about who did what decades ago and who did what now. Scotland's police system, and this setting, is different from ours which is interesting, and Fox is an interesting character both personally and professionally. Rankin is considered a masterful writer in the mystery world, and I agree!
