I read this on my Kindle but found out at book club that in the book there was a map and a glossary of the slang terms. Being able to have referenced that while reading it would have made it more understandable. I learned about New York City\'s history that was very fascinating.

We had our book club meeting last night and the conclusion was that this was a slow, difficult to get into book. The last 50-75 pages were interesting as that wrapped up the story, but it took a long time to get there. The writing was hard to follow at times, and even though there was a glossary of sorts, a lot of the slang words weren't listed. Overall, I would not recommend this book with all the other good books out there.
