The book was an "okay" read, but there's not a whole lot else to say about it. The characters were not particularly likeable or believable, and the plot was pretty unreal. Basically, the main character, Ollie, is able to save the day when the Secret Service cannot. The interactions between the characters seemed staged and parts of this "mystery" were more slapstick than anything else. The storyline was okay.....but I'm not going to read any more in the series.

Hard to get into but then a fluff easy read. Too many red herrings that didn't have a purpose when the book was completed. Characters and relationships not believeable.

I found it to be interesting as I had not thought about how much thought must go into the White House food preparation and the pomp & circumstance that is necessary for international & national politics! I was intrigued enough to read the next in the series. It is definitely a "cozy" but I would recommend it as a quick easy read!

A fun, cozy mystery set within the White House kitchen.
