Most of the book club really liked this book -- I thought Peachtree Road by Anne Rivers Siddons covered the same era much better
If you love to get caught up in a good book, this novel is for you! Excellent historical fiction interwoven with a southern coming-of-age story full of emotion. Definitely recommend! This was our book club's first selection in 2009 so it has a special place in our hearts. After reading it, we visited the real Swan House (now part of the Atlanta History Center).
This is an interesting book about Atlanta recent history, so may be of more interest to people who have an interest about Atlanta. This is by a written of Christian books, so this should be taken into account as some of the religious parts can be heavy handed for some.
