Our book group enjoyed the book overall, but felt that some of the characters were a bit too stereotypical and off generationally. In other words, we felt the one character who was of our generation was more like our fathers' generation in character. While we did enjoy the story, we felt that some of the things weren't tied up at the end and some of the ending was just too negative for all the characters making it a bit unrealistic.
