Very insightful! The book allows one to take the perspective of a young black high-school student who manages to keep and fulfill his ambitions despite growing up in Inner-City D.C. in the 90ies.

This book follows Cedric from his inner city D.C. HS to Brown University. Well-written and informative! Such a sad struggle for this intelligent young man.
