"Whimsically, Uniquely Canadian" by erica.audris (see profile) 05/29/12

I didn't expect to like a book about hockey - especially not one set in the first half of the 20th century - but this one really grew on me! It's not really about hockey, though hockey is an essential component of this tale. It's really about the humorous and sometimes tragic life of Percival "King" Leary. The language is whimsical and completely unique, and brings the time-period (and place) to life. The book is rife with Canadiana, which is fun and different. If you want a good laugh, but also a surprisingly poignant tale, you'll enjoy this pick!
