For this reader, The Swerve was well-written and quite interesting. However, other club members had trouble "getting into it." I would be certain, before selecting this book for a club read, that members already have an interest in the history of this period and of the Church. Otherwise, it may not hold their interest and that makes it difficult to have stimulating club discussion.

Difficult to follow at times but well written. A very interesting take on one philosopher's theory and how it could not be suppressed over the centuries.

Fascinating non-fiction book that reads like fiction. You\'ve probably read the description about the book already so I won\'t be redundant. I will say that this book will provide lots of discussion with your book club about many things. If you select this book for your book club, make sure to read my \"Do you have suggestions\\\" section below. There\'s an article by Jim Hinch that does a great job of presenting the \\opposing side\" for this popular book. I think it is a must-read and will help present a different viewpoint.
