This book is slow, boring, and confusing The author\'s style is suspect to this reader. The reader is left hanging as the author changes character, times and location with little or no segue. I was left feeling empty. For so many descriptive words (overuse of the word \"sage\") I struggled to see the characters or the settings. Everyone that I have spoken to in our book club mirrors my sentiments. I would NOT recommend this to a friend or another book club. I feel like I wasted my money and my time.

"Not as good as the description" by ginnykin (see profile) 06/09/15

A historical fiction novel about two people from different worlds who meet up in Montana. Disjointed a times, it jumps around to different characters and time periods. The two main characters finally meet up for about three days, and then lose contact. There are a few good characters, Max, the gas station guy, and Miriam, the Native American girl who becomes the wilderness guide. There are implausible story lines and things that flat out don't make sense. There is also some violence towards horses. Not recommended.
