I felt that it hit some interesting topics that many of us go through. I had a hard time with one or two of the topics but felt that they gave the story a realistic touch. I do not know if I would recommend the book but it was not bad for a book club discussion.

The book was slow in ramping up but the very different scenario and plot kept the reader interested. There are characters who are a distraction to the story and could have been eliminated but they do not harm the book. Told from the perspective of a woman fire-fighter/investigator.
