An interesting look at life in Viet Nam after the Americans pulled out and in particular the story of a Vietnamese family that went from riches to rags.

I had to set this book aside periodically because the subject matter was just too disturbing. The content was even more upsetting because it involved the misfortunes of a child. This book made Glass Castles look like a trip to Disney World. Informative about the Vietnam era, but not uplifting.
