The author's pace for action and description was painfully slow at times, but the characters made you want to wade through to see what the future held for them.
This book causes you to go on the journey with Hig; the good, the bad and the ugly. It's about hope, in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds against it.
Man's book with references to fishing, hunting, airplanes, etc. End of the world and not many people survived. Writing style made it very difficult to get into the book and follow along. Didn't get interesting until the last third of the book
The Dog Stars was set in a future post-apocalyptic America. It drew me in a little but then failed to deliver.
