We were pleased to have the author of Stillbird at our book club meeting. She is well educated, speaks well, and is in every way an advocate for women and women's rights. I find this an odd contrast to the violence, slavery and incest which is the backbone of this work.

A quick read. Hard to put down. Well developed characters.
