Because I love Ann Lamott- I mean I think she is brilliant and funny and real and I really want to sit and have coffee with her and talk for hours about God and Jesus and how we all need to be a little bit kinder to others (and ourselves). Having said that- this could be a tough sell for a book club. If your a traditional Christian you are likely to be offended by her and if your not a Jesus follower you probably think she's a little nutty. For those of us who are a little nutty like her this is the most lovely gift of a book. In fact, I've gifted this book close to a dozen times.... so read it! But maybe not in your book club.
