I just finished reading Guests on Earth and literally could not put it down. As usual, Lee Smith drew me in with characters I instantly cared about and a story that was interesting and well written. The historical facts relating to both Zelda Fitzgerald and the treatment of the mentally ill were fascinating and the setting in one of my favorite places only added to my interest and enjoyment of this novel.
I loved this book because while it was fiction, a lot of the characters were real people. It inspired me to research the events in the story.
