There was lots to like about this book but not all of our members felt that way! Most found that it moved too slowly and they never really developed an interest in the characters. Those of us who enjoyed it really liked the setting of the book and the feel of the north that Elizabeth Hay developed. Quite a mixed rating and the book club of my sister all rated it very highly.

I did enjoy parts of this book, but it failed to get going many times for me and waffled on too much at other points.
