"Not a fun book but it was interesting" by llcitro (see profile) 09/20/12

Most of our club members couldn't make it through the book. It was full of information, maybe too much. Also the idea of memorizing huge lists of random numbers just didn't seem practical to any of us - we have much better things to do with our time!

"A Fascinating, well written book" by Drginger (see profile) 12/04/12

I thought this was going to be a "self help" book about how to remember things. Instead, is a kind of adventure story with the author taking you on his journey around the globe exploring everything about memory. You learn about Memory Championships (who knew?) as well as various interesting people and authors all related to the brain and memory. He winds us competing is the US Memory Championship himself, and well, you'll have to read it to find out what happens! Our club really enjoyed discussing this book, and it was a rare one that everyone liked reading.
