Extended scene setting can be a bit tiresome at times, but worth the effort. The first book takes well into the 200s to get interesting. Stick it out!

The first chapter was a little slow, but once you get going it great. You'll definitely want to read the next two books of the series.

Our bookclub really enjoyed this book. All agreed that it started slow. The characters were very believable but somewhat bothersome. It was a great discussion.

If I was not reading this as a book club book I would have thrown it away half way through the book. I have no interest in reading books that involve twisted minds and violent rape.
